Four research papers from the Colorlab were presented at the Electronic Imaging 2012 in San Francisco in the end of January. PhD student Raju Shrestha presented a part of his PhD work on computational color constancy using chromagenic filters in color filter arrays, while previous CIMET student Viktor Slavkovikj presented his master thesis work on characterizing the response of charge-couple device digital color cameras. In addition, a paper on a Retinex implementation based on a colony of agents by Gabriele Simone was presented, and Jon Hardeberg has co-authored a paper on subjective evaluations of example-based, total variation, and joint regularization for image processing.
