Preparatory course

A preparatory mathematics course will be held the first week in the fall semester.

This course is optional but highly recommended. The topics that will be covered are

• introduction to number theory
• basic abstract algebra
• basic probability theory (if time permits)

The course will be based on Kompendium for forkurs i matematikk for MIS .
