Centre for Care Research
Centre for Care Research is an interdisciplinary research and competence centre established to collect, produce and disseminate knowledge about care, caring and care work. The centre is a professional meeting place for researchers, teachers and students from different communities to provide new and established knowledge of care and care both to the research world, the practice field, authorities and society at large.

Structure
Centre for Care Research is an integrated part of the Gjøvik University College, Department of Health, Care and Nursing. The centre has its own academic leader, and is administered by the Department for Health, Care and Nursing. The centre was created in September 2005 as a pilot project at the University College in Gjøvik, and was firmly established from November 2006.

Funding
The center is financed as part of the regular operations at Gjøvik University College. The majority of the projects are funded from external sources.
