Aim	The students shall learn the fundamentals of digital technology and get knowledge about the use and operation of the most common SSI and MSI circuits in digital systems.
Content	- Number systems and simple codes - Binary arithmetic - Logic gates, logic families, interfacing - Boolean algebra - Analysis and synthesis of combined circuits - Latches and flip-flops - Analysis of simple sequential circuits - Synthesis of simple synchronous sequential circuits - Introduction to microprocessors

Assessment	Written Exam, 3 hours
Grading System	Alphabetical Scale, A (best) - F (fail)
Course Requirements	Laboratory Exercises Exercises Compulsory laboratory work and 2 exercises must be accepted
