After completing the course, students will be familiar with geodata activities, and how such activities need to be strategically planned.

Content

Overview of the geodata profession and of geodata users.
- Mapping in support of town and country planning and regulation.
- Financial aspects of mapping and surveying.
- Organization, analysis and priorities for geodata users.
- Cost calculations.
- Project specifications.
- Preparation and assessment of tenders.
- Agreements, contracts.
- Principles of "Geovekst"
- Geodata plan - specifying an organisation's needs for geodata.
