| Aim | A student completing this course will be capable, by him/herself, of carrying out full GIS project. The course emphasizes a broad and clear understanding of the whole process from geographic information modelling, building the geodatabase and simpler geographic analyses, through to presentation in the form of maps , charts and tables. Additionally, students will practise the use of specialized GIS and data base software. |

| Assessment | Portfolio Assessment (counts 75%) Oral Exam, individually (counts 25%) Each part must be individually approved of. Portifolio Assessment based on 6 handins. All 6 must be approved. Final grading based on 3 of them (1 choosen by the student and 2 by the teacher), counting 25% each. |
