Aim	Candidates achieve a basic knowledge of using the GPS and GLONASS satellite navigation systems for surveying purposes. On completing this course, students are able to design, plan and execute simple observing campaigns, including the reduction, processing and quality control of observations and the documentation of results.
Content	GPS and GLONASS: - General system description - Position measurement principles - Observing campaign design and planning - Data preparation and completion in the surveying and setting out processes - Practical static and kinematic observing techniques including static network surveys and real-time detail surveys - Post-processing of vectors - Quality control - Documentation in accordance with national land surveying standards
