Aim	The students should have achieved the following knowledge: - knowing the different database models (weight on the relational database model) - using ER-modelling in building databases - designing databases and manageing information in local and external networks
Content	- Basic theory - The relational model, ER-modeling, normalization, Three Level Architecture, stuctures and indexes - Designing and using SQL servers, SQL language - Data exchange in networks, security
Study Methods	Lectures, Mandatory Assignments, Exercises in the computer laboratory
Assessment	Written Exam, 3 hours (counts 70%) Assignment(s) (counts 30%)
Grading System	Alphabetical Scale, A (best) - F (fail)
Course Requirements	Assignments Compulsory exercises must be accepted before the exam
