Aim | The course will give the students basic knowledge of printing and finishing processes. By the end of the course they will be familiar with the mode of operation and the capacities of the equipment used in the printing and finishing processes. They will also be able to account for the use of materials in graphic production. |
Content | Analog and digital printing techniques, plate making, design and function of printing presses, standardized reproduction, standardized printing, color management, bookbinding and finishing. Materials used in graphical production: Papers and substrates (paper manufacturing), inks and printing plates. |
