Aim	The course will give an introduction to creative problem solving methods, product development and related examples. The course will thereafter give an introduction to design in interaction with product development and creative problem solving.
Content	- Creative problem solving used in the product development process - Mind mapping - Creative thinking - Problem definition and specification - Methods of idea generation - from idea to solution - Brain storming/CPS method - Value engineering - Design; interaction between form and function - An industrial designer’s working tasks and the tools which are used - Man-machine interface

Assessment	Project Work Group project with written and oral presentation
