Participation in group work.

The students will get understanding of the historical development of nursing as a profession, demonstrate insight into the basic values of the profession and have knowledge of the frame factors for the nursing service in society. The students will get insight into the communication and interaction between nurse and patient. They will acquire basic knowledge of the patient role, be aware of his or her own ability and will to care and get knowledge of basic principles of nursing. The students will also get knowledge of development and personality psychology, motivation and crises, mastering and multicultural approach to health and illness.
